The week kicked off with great weather and great shallow water flats fishing with most anglers catching over 20 Bonefish each as well as as a bunch of other species. The Triggers were around in good numbers and although they were caught it wasn’t an easy task by any means. Mike Van Bachum managed to catch 2 magnificent Triggers over 2 days with 1 being a Giant and the other a Yellowmargin. Corey Knowlton also managed with these tricky creatures but took it one further by achieving a “Flats grand Slam” consisting of a GT, Bonefish and the aforementioned Triggerfish. On the same day Frans managed a “Bills and Bones Slam” by catching a Bonefish and a Sailfish but also took it one further by adding a GT. The biggest GT of the week was caught by Robert Gilchrist measuring 103cm.
