Graylings, browns and the elusive marble trout in only one day!
Started to fly fish on a really crystal clear alpine stream just before its get the lake, looking for graylings...
Many different sized graylings but very strong and selective. The air temperature was hot for this month of the year, we had 15 degrees in the morning and 25 in the afternoon; otherwise the water temp was so cold because it comes directly from an alpine lake. Good ephemera's hatching but not really great action on surface, high sticking nymphing and sight nymph fishing doesn't metter because i love both those tecniques, so awesome.

The hot started to increase around 10 am, so i turned my focus to fly fish for browns, wild spot, in the wood to stay away from the sun light to get the shadow and get more insects and maybe more action on dries. The section was just lower the dam where i fished before. Low water and not so cold such as the upper's grayling's section over the dam! Perfect time to fly fish, in fact a few Browns came out both on nymphs and dries as well, different insects on the waters... a few ephemeras and caddis as well.
A few nice brown lost in trees fallen into the water.
At 1 pm, the hot was too much to continue the fihsing so i relaxed my self on the grass of the river bank eating a few sandwiches before catch the car to changing location.
Third route map, elusive marble trout!
The sunlight, low level and super crystal clear water didn't help me, in fact fishes was extremly elusive.
Larger river, skinny water and completely different approach then the previous ones.
Coup de sour for the large marbles or browns is an amazing experience sometimes you do not perfectly understand what is happening because you don't know where casting your imitation, this it means feeding excitement!
Large hatches everywhere in the sky, caddis, ephemera's, a few mayfly and stoneflies... super happy trout...and angler!
The large marble didint' come out but i lost my chance setting the hook on...but so happy catching many other fishes only on dry fly!
Best time to come here joining the dolomite's Grand's slam!
Thank you
