Type of Water: Freshwater
Species: Rainbow trout, Brown trout, Brook trout
Water is low and clear. Browns are just finishing up their spawn. Brook trout are colored up as well. Sleath is the main factor in catching these fish. 6x and 7x is necessary. Fish are eating mostly small nymphs. Baetis, midges and small scuds in the 16-20 range are working best. The driftless region of Iowa and Wisconsin is renowned for their spring creeks.
