Xcalak on the Fly is the Yucatan Peninsula’s newest fly fishing lodge based out of Casa Paraiso. At XOTF, our goal is to provide you with the most personalized and all-inclusive fly fishing experience. Our packages and trips were designed by fishing-obsessed father and son duo Jim and Chase Looney with anglers in mind.
Xcalak is a refreshingly undisturbed fishing village nestled along Mexico’s southernmost Caribbean coastline. In Xcalak, lush Mayan jungle meets turquoise Caribbean water. Casa Paraiso is an off-grid, eco-friendly lodge that offers four beachfront suites and can comfortably accommodate up to eight anglers. All four suites are oceanfront and feature patios with unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea. Suites can be set up with one king size bed or two twins. There are private bathrooms in each suite and high-speed internet. Each suite has a ceiling fan to help keep you cool, as well as a locking safe for your personal belongings.
Casa Paraiso boasts 120ft of maintained beachfront, perfect for relaxing, tanning, or playing volleyball. Catch a sunset (or a permit!) from our 200ft long dock. It’s a great place to practice casting or just hang-out with easy access to snorkeling and kayaking. Most importantly, it’s where you’ll meet your fishing guides each morning.
