The captain

Capt. Eric Trout is owner/operator of Galveston Fly Fishing Ver más... Adventures. Originally from Houston Texas, Capt. Trout spent 4 yrs in the Marine Corp, then 2 yrs working boats out of Hawaii. He eventually returned to Texas and moved to Galveston Island where he and his family have called home for the past 12 yrs. Originally a blue water captain running private charters on a 42ft sport fisherman, Capt. Trout spent his days chasing pelagics off of the Texas Coast. 6 years ago Capt. Trout picked up a fly rod, and like many fly fisherman it changed his life forever! Fly fishing has since become his passion, and he loves sharing this passion with others. Capt. Trout believes that a good fishing trip is more than just catching fish. It is about creating a positive experience that creates memories that will last a lifetime. This starts with customer service and builds from there. Capt. Trout will do everything he can to make your fishing experience an enjoyable one. He will never belittle or berate a client for missing a fish. Novice or expert, Capt. Trout will offer as much or as little guidance as you want.
