AlpenView Wilderness Lodge INC. in Kodiak, Alaska, is a full service fishing lodge providing superior fresh and saltwater fishing, as well as activities for the whole family. In addition to our lodge, we also provide camping opportunities on the Ayakulik River. There's an abundance of wildlife and something for everyone to do here including, hiking, kayak fishing, and relaxing retreat in our wood-stove lodges.
Fishing is the bread and butter activity at AlpenView. The streams draining into Ugak Bay offer great freshwater fishing for sockeye, silver, pink and chum salmon and dolly varden. AlpenView maintains a variety of boats to access these fisheries, the pride of which is the C/V CAPTAIN K. Both fly and conventional tackle are used throughout these fisheries and are provided to our guests.
Lodging
The lodge great room includes the dining and living areas under it's vaulted ceiling. The living area drops two feet below the dining area so guests in both can enjoy the spectacular view through the sixteen foot high walls of windows. The four guest rooms are shared, two have private baths. There are also two shared bathrooms with showers. AlpenView's menu proudly reflects our location in one of the world's seafood capitals. We add a healthy mix of meat and foul, then add fresh herbs and vegetables from our greenhouse. All are prepared with an international flair.
